Fred Thompson on First Principles

Posted On 1:54 PM by Steve Stevlic |

Fred Thompson will debate John Edwards on June 18 in what may turn out to be a Vice Presidential audition for both former Senators. While much of this campaign has been about intra-party battles, this will be one of the first chances for Republicans to face off against the Democrats in the 2008 campaign.

This video highlights Fred Thompson's conservative First Principles - the belief that our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence are not outdated documents and that our rights come from God, not from government.

These principles include:

1. Individual Liberty
2. Personal Responsibility
3. Free Markets
4. Limited Government
5. Federalism
6. Protecting Our Country
7. Traditional American Values
8. The Rule of Law
9. Conserving Our Nation's Resources

Unfortunately, none of the current candidates for president are running on these principles. But there is a place where people are still standing strong on these principles. Thompson Coalition is a national network of conservatives who support these principles, the constitution and our American way of life.

Great article, but I think we need to be thanking the Reverend for opening up the truth about the Obamessiah and how he is really the false prophet. Sorry about the Biblical references, just couldn't resist.
